About Full Blast Engineering

Look, we all got into bikes one way or another. For Leo Hess, they answered his call for the need to speed. In ’93, he achieved the world dry lake speed record on a custom-modified, alcohol-fueled bike that he engineered himself. In ‘97, Leo’s high-performance, 2000cc Harley hit 218 MPH, earning him a lifetime membership in the coveted El Mirage and ECTA 200-MPH Clubs.

Impressive stats, but to Leo, what got you into bikes isn’t nearly as important as what keeps you in—and what keeps him in is his love of a well-tuned Harley.

Leo Hess opened Full Blast Engineering over four decades ago, and brings more than 40 years of knowledge and hands-on experience to the business. He lives and works right here, in Sioux Falls, and the only over-the-top thing about his garage is the quality of the work he produces. Because he doesn’t have the high overhead of bigger shops you can expect a better return on your dollar.

Full Blast works on bikes of any year or model… as long as they’re Harleys!

Full Blast Engineering performs a full range of maintenance services, including oil changes and tune-ups. Leo also repairs, builds and modifies Harley-Davidsons.
